Upon registration, a certificate of registration will be issued, and the mark will be published in the Norwegian Trademark Journal for opposition purposes. The opposition period is two months from the date of publication.

A Norwegian trademark registration is valid for 10 years from the day the mark was to be registered (registration day). Renewal may be claimed by the owner for 10 years at a time from the end of the proceeding registration period.
