Norway ratifies the European Patent Convention

On June 11, the Norwegian Parliament decided that Norway will join the European Patent Organisation as of January 1, 2008. This means that patent protection in Norway may be obtained via a Europan patent application after said date. Norway may only be designated for European patent applications filed after January 1, 2008. All PCT applications filed before January 1, 2008 will follow the traditional national course towards a Norwegian patent. More information on the amendment will follow shortly.
